On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, the Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, led a delegation to the mausoleum of the Poet of the East, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented march past to mark the occasion. Dr. Rafiqui laid a floral wreath at the grave and offered Fateha in tribute.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Rafiqui emphasized that Allama Iqbal’s vision forms the very foundation of Pakistan’s independence and progress, and that his thoughts continue to serve as a beacon of guidance for the nation.
The delegation accompanying Dr. Rafiqui included Mr. Muhammad Numan Chishti, Dr. Tahir Hameed Tanoli, Mr. Waqar Ahmad, Mr. Faheem Arshed, Mr. Muhammad Ishaq, Mr. Malik Asad, and Mr. Tayyab Haider.
