Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, chairman of the Muslim Institute, Islamabad, presided over the closing session.
Former Senator, Grandson of Dr. Sir Muhammad Iqbal, Mr. Waleed Iqbal was the chief guest and Director General of Khana Farhang Iran, Aga Dr. Ashgar Masoudi, was guest of honor in the ceremony.
Dr. Muhammad Saad, President of ECO Cultural Institute, Tehran, and Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, Director, Iqbal Academy, expressed gratitude to participants.
Delegates from more than 10 countries emphasized the importance of Iqbal's thought in resolving Muslim world issues and promoting international relations.
Recommendations included comparative studies of national poets and Iqbal's philosophy in ECO member states.
Research and translations of Iqbal's works were suggested to promote his personality and philosophy.
Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, Waleed Iqbal, and Aga Dr. Ashgar Masoudi said Iqbal as an international poet, philosopher, who influenced the world with his thoughts and political vision.
National and international scholars received honorary shields from Mr. Waleed Iqbal, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, and Dr. Muhammad Saad khan.
