The Second meeting of the Mazar-e-Iqbal conservation and renovation committee was held on 1st December, 2023 under the chairmanship of Senior Member Board of Revenue Mr. Nabil Javed. In the meeting, Secretary Auqaf, Dr. Tahir Raza Bukhari, Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiuqi, DG Walled City Kamran Lashari, Grandson’s Iqbal Mr. Muneeb Iqbal, Mian Iqbal Salahuddin, Khatib Badshahi Masjid Mr. Abdul Khabeer, and other officers attended.
On this occasion Dr Abdul Rauf Rafiuqi said that Mazar-i-Iqbal, a great national heritage, requires a comprehensive strategy for its conservation and renovation, which will be carried forward with the consensus of all members of the committee. Iqbal was an advocate of the unity of the Ummah and wanted to see it strong and stable. Therefore, it is necessary to organize the communication of his message from his tomb.
