"I Witnessed Nature Unveiled in Srinagar" (Allama Iqbal)
Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Lahore (February 18, 2025) – In connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day (February 5), Iqbal Academy Pakistan organized a webinar to highlight the significance of Kashmir's freedom movement. The session was presided over by renowned Iqbal scholar Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan from the UK.
Distinguished speakers included Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Spain; Dr. Arif Mahmood Kisaaa, Chairman of Iqbal Academy Scandinavia (Sweden); Rana Muhammad Ijaz from Kuwait; Dr. Khalid Latif from the Iqbal Institute at Kashmir University, Srinagar; and Dr. Ijaz Lone, a well-known Kashmiri intellectual from Malaysia.
The speakers emphasized that Allama Iqbal initiated the ideological foundation of Kashmir's independence movement. Pakistanis and Kashmiris worldwide continue to support this cause diplomatically, and this webinar was part of those ongoing efforts. Participants and speakers from both the East and the West joined to discuss and reaffirm their commitment to Kashmir's cause.
At the end of the event, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqi, Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan, expressed gratitude to all speakers and attendees. The lecture was broadcast live on Zoom as well as on the Iqbal Academy’s YouTube channel (youtube.com/iqbalacademy).
The webinar attracted audiences from Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Spain, Sweden, the UK, and the United Arab Emirates, who participated online in this significant discussion.
