Special Online Audio and Video Messages to Commemorate Independence Day “Iqbal's Pakistan”

Iqbal Academy Pakistan has organized a series of initiatives to connect the general public with Iqbal’s thought. On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of Pakistan, the Academy issued audio and video messages of Iqbal scholars, Iqbal family, eminent personalities, teachers, Iqbal lovers and young scholars from all over the country on the thought of Allama Iqbal, titled “Iqbal's Pakistan”. Personalities from different schools of thought including Dr. Shehzad Qaiser (Vice President Iqbal Academy Pakistan), Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen (Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan), Justice (R) Nasira Javed Iqbal, Mr. Muneeb Iqbal, Senator Waleed Iqbal from Iqbal’s family. Experts of Iqbal studies Dr. Rafi-ud-Din Hashmi, Dr. Tehseen Firaqi, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Kamran. The members of the governing body of Iqbal Academy Pakistan Dr. Fatima Hassan, Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqi, renowned Iqbal scholar Prof. Fateh Muhammad Malik, Dr. Moinuddin Aqeel, Dr. Muhammad Arshad Owaisi, Engineer Inayat Ali, renowned intellectual Amjad Islam Amjad, Sajjad Mir. Besides Prof. Haroon-ur-Rasheed Tabassum, Lt Gen (retd) Arshad Mahmood, former Vice Chancellor, Punjab University, gave messages on the subject. Mian Sajid Ali also expressed his views. A notable aspect was the participation of young Iqbal scholars including Dr. Arooba Siddiqui from Department of Urdu, Lahore College for Women University, Dr. Shiraz Ali Zaidi, Department of Iqbal Studies, Allama Iqbal Open University, Dr. Khawaja Zahid Aziz, Department of Kashmir Studies, Punjab University and Afhamul Hassan. In addition, political leader Farida Ahmad Paracha and fiction writer Aina Mohsin also recorded their messages. All these messages can be viewed on YouTube and Iqbal Academy Pakistan's website.
