Vice Chancellor’s Convention

The Vice Chancellors Convention was organized by the Islamic Research Institute on October 3 at the Faletti’s hotel, Lahore. The Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen also participated. The convention was divided into two parts. In the first part, Vice Chancellors from across the country, under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education, Shafqat Mahmood, spoke on 'Peace and Social Harmony among Students in Universities'.
In the second part, the participants exchanged suggestions in the form of panel discussion. Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen suggested that it is the most important requirement of the time to make Iqbal’s teachings a part of the curriculum for peace and social harmony. Iqbal Corners and Iqbal Chairs should also be set up to promote positive and constructive activities in the universities.
