" Quaid-e-Azam in the Eyes of Allama Iqbal "
Exclusive talk by Muneeb Iqbal (Grandson of Allam Iqbal)

On the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day, Iqbal Academy Pakistan organized a special online talk with Mr. Muneeb Iqbal on December 25, 2020 under the title " Quaid-e-Azam in the Eyes of Allama Iqbal". Munib Iqbal said that the historical significance of Allahabad sermon has been completely forgotten. In his Allahabad sermon, Allama Iqbal presented the demand and concept of a separate state for the Muslims, but he lamented that the great tragedy of the Muslims of the subcontinent was that they lacked capable leadership. Hazrat Allama Iqbal in his Allahabad sermon demanded a separate state and he needed a capable leader to put into practice the idea. In the eyes of Hazrat Allama, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the only person among the Muslims of the entire subcontinent who could bring this movement to fruition.
After the second and third round table conferences, Allama Iqbal met Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and persuaded him to return to the subcontinent and take over the leadership of the Muslim League and Muslims. The Muslims of the subcontinent were fortunate that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah agreed to the request of Hazrat Allama Iqbal and came to the subcontinent and took over the leadership of the Muslims and the Tehreek-e-Pakistan. A glimpse of the personality of Quaid-e-Azam can be seen in Hazrat Allama's Urdu poetry after 1930-31, especially in Bang Dara.
