The result of “All Pakistan Essay Competition” organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan was announced. In this regard, a grand ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on October 2. The chief guest of the ceremony was Mr. Sajjad Mir, a well known journalist and intellectual. Haroon Akram Gill hosted the event. Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen expressed her gratitude while the judges of the competition were Dr. Zeb Al-Nisa Saroya, Dr. Arooba Siddiqui, Dr. Qasim Mahmood and Mr. Ijaz-ul-Haq Ijaz. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Qari Muhammad Basharat Ali Razane illuminated the hearts of the audience with the recitation of Holy Quran. Student Anam Shahzadi presented Iqbal's Natya Kalam. Mr. Sajjad Mir announced the names of the students who secured the position and congratulated them. In the first category consisting of college level students, Hafiz Muhammad Atif of Tatla High Tehsil Nowshera Virkan secured the first position, Mahim Kilani, a student of Lahore College for Women University, and Mohammad Adnan, a student of Government Post Graduate College, Tala Kang, shared the second position while Mohammad Ali of ILM College, Sargodha and Sana Shahid of Post Graduate College, Kamalia bagged the third position. Entitled to Ayesha Obaid of Jamiat-ul-Muhsinat Intermediate Girls College and Nizami Karachi, Punjab College Ayub Park Campus, Ayesha Anwar Federal College Attock Cantt of Rawalpindi, Maira Paracha of People's Colony Attock, Government Girls Post Graduate College Saidu Sharif, Ayesha Gul of Swat, Government College for Misbah Jabeen of Women, University, Sialkot was awarded the Encouragement Award for Best Essay Writing.
In the second category of students of the university, Muhammad Omar of Punjab University, Lahore bagged the first position, Sajida Akram of University of Sahiwal and Muhammad Arshad of district Rahim Yar Khan tehsil Jampur district jointly bagged the second position while Rubina Yasmeen of Islamia College University Peshawar University, and GC University Lahore's Zulfiqar Ali jointly bagged the third position. Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad's Mian Sajid Ali, Lahore College for Women's University, Lahore's Gul Rana, University of Okara's Sadia Khan, Ghulam Fatima and Oriental College Punjab University Azmi Yaseen of Lahore was awarded the Encouragement Award for Best Essay Writing.
Mr. Sajjad Mir, the special guest of the function, said that the thought of Allama Iqbal is the foundation of our civilization. The ideology of Pakistan is also Iqbal's concern. He who understands Iqbal can also understand Pakistan. He appreciated the recent efforts of Iqbal Academy Pakistan and said that Iqbal Academy was playing an important role in training the younger generation. Competitions of this nature must continue. Director Iqbal Academy Prof. Dr. Basira Umbereen said that this essay writing competition is very important for the young students who are interested in the teachings of Allama Iqbal. The participation of students from all over Pakistan has proved that "this soil is very fertile if it is small." He said that the topics taken from Fiqr-e-Iqbal were selected keeping in view the existing issues and the youth have not only been guided by Fiqr-e-Iqbal but also their writing style shows that We have also tried to improve the language and style. Dr. Zeb Al-Nisa Sarwa said that at a time when the whole world was affected by Karuna and all kinds of activities were stalled, Iqbal Academy organized very positive activities for the youth and saved them from disappointment and inspired them to create. Of course, Director Iqbal Academy deserves congratulations on this. Dr. Aruba Siddiqui said that although the present age is the age of social media, students should make use of the library. This will not only improve their writing skills but also their thinking. He appreciated the efforts of Iqbal Academy and congratulated it on holding successful competitions and events. It will also play an important role in the making. Other participants also appreciated the position of Iqbal Academy in this regard.
