Online Lecture: "Iqbal's Scientific Consciousness"

An online lecture titled "Iqbal's Scientific Consciousness" was organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan on March 9, 2021. Speaker Ijaz-ul-Haq Ijaz while talking said that we can call Iqbal a thinker with scientific consciousness. Iqbal was not a scientist nor did he present scientific theories. But the ideas he has put forward regarding science can be called scientific philosophy. This philosophy of science is also found in many of his poems and prose writings, especially in his lectures. Attempts are being made to create the misconception that Iqbal was against science and wanted to block the path of scientific progress for us. This is completely wrong. The fact is that Iqbal was in favor of the development of science and technology. His study of scientific concepts was surprisingly extensive. His personal collection of books contained many books on science and philosophy of science. He admired the paradigm shift of modern science that was taking place in the early twentieth century thanks to Einstein, Heinrich, Max Planck and other scientists.
