Iqbal Academy Pakistan organized a seminar in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, 2025. The distinguished guest speakers including Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, Director, Iqbal Academy Pakistan; Dr. Tahir Hameed Tanoli, Head of Academics Section, Iqbal Academy Pakistan and Professor Abid Rao, Principal Idara-e-Tameer-e-Nau Public College. The event was moderated by Muhammad Ishaq.
During the seminar, the speakers emphasized that Pakistan and Kashmiris worldwide observe February 5 as Kashmir Solidarity Day to reaffirm their unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support for their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their rightful struggle for self-determination, as recognized by the United Nations Charter, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the UN Security Council resolutions. The speakers highlighted that the brutal war crimes and atrocities in Palestine and Jammu & Kashmir have failed to shake the resilience and courage of the Palestinian and Kashmiri people. They praised the OIC’s long-standing principled stance on Jammu & Kashmir and urged the organization to intensify its efforts in amplifying the voice of the Kashmiri people.
The seminar also featured passionate speeches by students, as well as recitations of Allama Iqbal’s poetry in both melodic and traditional formats. A Q&A session followed, where the speakers provided insightful and satisfactory answers to the participants' queries.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui presented a gift of books to Professor Abid Rao as a token of appreciation.
