Iqbal Day celebrated with enthusiasm under the auspices of Iqbal Academy Pakistan

Lahore (November 9, 2020) Allama Muhammad Iqbal's 144th Iqbal Day was celebrated with enthusiasm under the auspices of Iqbal Academy Pakistan. Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen visited Iqbal’s mausoleum and laid a wreath. She was accompanied by Noman Chishti, Dr. Khizar Yaseen, Haroon Akram Gill, Irshad- ul-Mujeeb, Muhammad Akhtar, Waqar Ahmed and other officers.
Moreover, in the premises of Mazar-e-Iqbal, competitions were held among the students for reciting Kalam-e-Iqbal, Bait Bazi on iqbal’s verses and painting competitions on the themes of Allama Iqbal. The winning children were awarded prizes. Paigham-e-Pakistan extended cooperation regarding completion of a peaceful society in the light of Iqbal’s Teaching.
Director Iqbal Academy Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen, in her speech on the occasion said that Iqbal Academy Pakistan is focusing on the youth to make them look like Iqbal's “Shaeen” and various measures are being taken to spread Iqbal's message. She said that on this auspicious occasion, I would like to convey the message that the people of this region are fortunate that a great personality like Allama Iqbal was born here and if we truly want to succeed in the world and bring peace to our society, if we want to make a cradle, we have to make full use of the teachings of Allama Iqbal.
Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan also addressed the annual jalsa of the Markazia Majlis-e-Iqbal at Aiwan-e-Iqbal. A special Iqbal Day function was also organized by the Department of Archeology, Government of Punjab and Unique Group of Schools and Colleges at Iqbal Museum, Javed Manzil Auditorium in collaboration with Iqbal Academy Pakistan. Apart from Allama Iqbal's grandson Muneeb Iqbal, Orya Maqbool Jan, Dr. Babar Naseem Aasi, Director General Archeology Department Punjab and Chairman Unique Group Abdul Manan Khurram also participated in it.
