Iqbal Academy Pakistan awards the best book written in Urdu on Allama Iqbal each year with the National Presidential Iqbal Award. This award is given with the approval of the President of Pakistan. The President of Pakistan, His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari has approved granting the Presidential Iqbal Award for the year 2021 to Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan's book "Kamal-e-Iqbal Aur Ekiswen Sadi" (The Excellence of Iqbal and the 21st Century), among the books written in Urdu on Allama Iqbal. The President gave this approval under Article 48(1) of the Constitution and the Iqbal Academy Ordinance of 1962. The President is also the Patron-in-Chief of the Iqbal Academy Pakistan.
