Results of "All Pakistan Calligraphy Competition (Kalam Iqbal)"
organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan announced

Lahore College for Women University students Aiza Amin and Afifa Jabeen jointly bagged the first position, Lahore College for Women University student Kiran Maqsood stood second while Allama Iqbal Open University student Warda Mubashir got third prize. Muhammad Awais, a student of the Institute of Arts and Culture, was given the Consolation Award.
The results of "All Pakistan Calligraphy Competition (Kalam Iqbal)" organized by Iqbal Academy Pakistan were announced here at Aiwan I Iqbal, Lahore. Lahore College for Women University students Aiza Amin and Afifa Jabeen jointly bagged the first position, while Lahore College for Women University student Kiran Maqsood stood second while Allama Iqbal Open University student Warda Mubashir got the third prize. Muhammad Awais, a student of the Institute of Arts and Culture, was given the consolation Award. The ceremony was presided over by renowned painter and calligrapher Mr. Aslam Kamal while the judges were Mr. Irfan Qureshi and Mr. Muneeb Ali.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen said that the art of calligraphy is a gift from God Almighty and according to Iqbal, the discovery and expression of God-given abilities is man's self. She refered to Allama Iqbal’s verse in this regard. She said that the essence of art is that you create your own style and do not imitate anyone's style. This causes art to become stagnant. Congratulating the winning students, the director of Iqbal Academy said that Allama Iqbal had especially prayed from Allah for giving courage to the youth and of course you are the shaheens of Iqbal who have achieved perfection in their art. Use it for the betterment of the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Aslam Kamal said that Allama Iqbal has written Saqi Nama for the youth. Every youth should read Saqi Nama and adapt themselves according to Iqbal's vision. He said that calligraphy and painting are creations and take closer to the Creator. He lauded Iqbal Academy Pakistan and said that it was a matter of great pleasure that the academy had not only attracted the youth towards Iqbal's message through competition but also provided them an opportunity to showcase their talents to the best of their ability. Muneeb Ali said that focus and concentration on your work will help you to move forward in life. All participants of the competition were awarded with certificates.
